This quote is a bit of a thinker for Monday morning, but I promise you it’s worth it. If you’ve been doing some pondering lately about what you want from life and how to get it, you’ve probably been gathering as much info as possible from outside of yourself. Information is important, and you can’t know your options without it. But, you’re not going to know what to do with that info if you don’t know how to look inward.
There is a whole lot of wisdom quietly hanging out within you, nudging you with “gut instincts” and moments of clarity here and there. You can have more of that, you know, but for that to happen, you need some skills — skills you build with three main ingredients: your attention, your intention and your breath. Stop, inhale, exhale. Let that breath be your focus as your mind tries to pull you away from it. It’s ok, just come back to it. Check out how grateful all that wisdom is, that you’re finding paying attention to it, and how it begins to speak a little louder for you. And all you had to do was listen.
Take that, Monday. As for you, be sure to keep it a mindful one.
